NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:
SOMBA K'E CIVIC PLAZA CONSTRUCTION
Construction of the new Somba K'e Civic Plaza around City Hall is underway! Click here for photos of the work in progress. As the development of this beautiful new park progresses, the City would like to advise residents and visitors of the following unavoidable disruptions:
Frame Lake Trail: The Frame Lake Trail will remain open during construction, however, it will be diverted away from the waterfront in some areas around City Hall. Please use caution when walking near the construction area.
Visitor Parking/49 Avenue Construction: Visitor parking for City Hall has been relocated to the current Somba K’e park, next to the old Gerry Murphy site. 49 Avenue is currently under construction and is open to local traffic only, which includes conducting business at City Hall. Handicap parking stalls are still available on 49 Avenue until further notice.
Bill Payments: During construction, City Hall will remain open for business and payments can continue to be made with the receptionist during City Hall hours. Please use caution when walking to City Hall through the construction area. The City would like to remind residents that online payments are also available. Please click here to access the City’s online payment service.
Please note that as the Somba K'e Civic Plaza construction progresses, additional changes to services will occur. The City will advertise notice of these changes in the Capital Update, on the radio, on the website and on the electronic signs at both Arenas. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. For more information, please call the City at 920-5634.
