Journal content ranges from cancer, heart disease and other chronic illnesses to reproductive, environmental, psychosocial, infectious-disease and genetic epidemiology. The journal places special emphasis on theory and methodology, and welcomes commentaries that explore fundamental assumptions or offer provocative dissent.

* EPIDEMIOLOGY will present a symposium, “Whose Data Are They?: Opportunities and Pitfalls of Publicly Accessible Data,” to take place in Chicago at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Society for Epidemiologic Research (SER), June 24-27th (http://www.epiresearch.org/meeting/). This symposium is one in an ongoing series on ‘The Changing Face of Epidemiology’ sponsored by EPIDEMIOLOGY.
