Jefferson Elementary School District

 July 1st marks an exciting chapter in the life of Jefferson School District as we usher in three new administrators at the District office: Matteo Rizzo, former Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and long-time District employee (also former JSD student) takes over as Superintendent; replacing Mr. Rizzo as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources is Jan Hopkins, also a long-time District employee and former principal at Fernando Rivera.

New to our district is Bernardo Vidales, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Student Services. Bernie comes to JSD from working with Partners In School Innovation at San Francisco Unified School District and former principal in Redwood City.

We  are also welcoming to the District three new site administrators Ms. Catalina Rico, principal at Thomas R Pollicita Middle School, Ms. Dina Dewes, vice-principal at Benjamin Franklin Intermediate School, and Mr. Joseph McCreary, principal at Garden Village Elementary School. In addition, we want to congratulate former vice-principal Ms. Claire Haiken for her appointment as the new principal at Fernando Rivera Intermediate School.
