After speaking with local emergency management officials, Lenoir County Public Schools will close at 1:00 p.m. for both students and staff. Officials, believe that the storm will be moving at a faster rate than anticipated and have advised that school buses be off of the roads by 3:00. Please listen to the local radio and TV stations for more information.

Due to the impending storm, the game between North Lenoir and Kinston High has been rescheduled. The JV team will play Wednesday night 7:00 at Kinston and the Varsity team, Thursday night at 7:30.

Lenoir County Public Schools is pleased to announce that Parent FUN Day will be held at Vernon Park Mall on Saturday, October 4th from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. The Lenoir county Public Schools and Lenoir County Health Department wish to inform you of a new immunization requirement for rising 6th grade students. Prior to the start of school, students entering the 6th grade during the 2008-09 school year are now required to receive a booster dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertusis) vaccine. Twenty four rising 5th and 6th graders from across Lenoir County participated in the Lenoir County Public Schools' first Summer Robotics Camp. Teams battled for points as they worked toward overcoming daily challenges. The week ended in a final "Robot Rumble" with trophies being awarded to the winners for the week.

Title I Restructuring
As a requirement of No Child Left Behind, and because E.B. Frink Middle School and Kennedy Home have not made Adequate Yearly Progress for four consecutive years, Lenoir County Public Schools is required to develop a “Restructuring Plan” for these two schools.
