What kind of programs do we provide?

MidSummer Macon offers children and teens an exploration of the arts through intense, active learning. Under the guidance of a highly qualified faculty, students are able to discover and enhance their artistic abilities through day and residential camps, professional performances, demonstrations, lectures and exhibits. Camps are held in June at Wesleyan College, one of the nation's leading liberal arts colleges, and in July at St. Paul's Episcopal Church downtown. MidSummer Macon gives children, teens and adults the opportunity to explore their artistic talents in the art disciplines of theatre, visual arts, music, dance and creative writing. Students are supported and encouraged to stretch their creativity and expand their talents!

" I want my child to be given that which will make him a whole human being...that must include not only reading, writing, and arithmetic, but also the ability to sing, dance, draw, paint, act, write, play an instrument. And where he is not taught to do it himself, I want him taught to appreciate the work of those who do. " - Dale Lyles
