2008 REFERENDUM INFORMATION CENTER
At Minneapolis Public Schools, our vision - to make every child college ready by 2012 - is ambitious and achievable. Our 2007-2012 strategic plan provides us with a framework for success that emphasizes transparency, accountability, sustainability and responsibility.

This spring, the Board of Education put forth a $60 million referendum to be placed on the election day ballot in November. If approved, the referendum dollars would help drive achievement results for all students by supporting education essentials such as improving literacy, preparing students for algebra in eighth grade, providing up-to-date technology and textbooks and managing class size.
