College Seeking Proposals to Manage Food/Vending Services
WINTERVILLE—With the new Craig Goess Student Center set to open in early 2009, Pitt Community College is seeking proposals from vendors wanting to manage an expanded array of food and/or vending services, including catering.
PCC administrators issued a request for proposals for a new food services contract on Oct. 1 and set an Oct. 31 deadline for submissions. The college is seeking a three-year deal plus two optional years with a vendor that would manage cafeteria line services, catering and vending machine services on and off campus.
Organ/Tissue Donation Has Touched Lives on PCC Campus
WINTERVILLE—An emotion-filled event at Pitt Community College last month shed light on the importance of organ and tissue donation and the impact it has had on the school’s faculty, staff and students.
The program, held in the Raymond Reddrick Building on Sept. 25, was part of a month-long effort by PCC Medical Assisting students to encourage North Carolinians to sign up as organ and tissue donors through a newly-created online registry, www.donatelifenc.org.
