The Salem County Historical Society is housed in four interconnected historic houses, the centerpiece of which is Alexander Grant's Mansion House (1721). The Grant House showcases the Museum's signature exhibits, including Salem in the Revolutionary War, and Wistarburg Glass.
Salem County Historical Society receives General Operating Support from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of Cultural Affairs in the Department of State. The Society’s exhibitions and programs are supported by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Dept. of State, and the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of Cultural Affairs in the Department of State, both through the Salem County Cultural and Heritage Commission/Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
