Southern University Chancellor Dr. Kofi Lomotey announced today that classes will resume on the Baton Rouge campus on Monday, Sept. 8.

Also, campus employees are to work their regular shifts on Friday, Sept. 5.

Southern University is experiencing power outages on some parts of the Baton Rouge campus. Students continue to be safe.

Utility company repair crews are expected on the campus once heavy winds and rains subside.
