Mercy Gilbert Medical Center opened in June 2006. At present, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center has 92 private rooms with guest accommodations, with the capacity to expand to 400 beds over the next five years. Our expansion plan includes an additional 102 beds to be opened in January 2008.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Summary: Provides cardiology services and care to hospital patients and clinic patients as well as strong emphasis in clinical research. Services are provided under the direction and responsibility of Physician by performing the following duties:

• Performs clinical assessment of inpatients and outpatients.
• Performs comprehensive physical examination and compiles patient medical data including health history and results of physical examination.
• Orders diagnostic tests and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
• Formulates diagnosis and develops and implements a patient treatment plan in conjunction with supervising physician.
• Records/dictates progress notes and assists in provision of continuity of care.
• Discharges patients and educates them on post-procedure protocol and follow-up.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
• State of Arizona Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner License
• Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification
• National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
• Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification
