Enhances quality of life from the perspective
of the client/family.
Full Time or Part Time -- Within the context of
a client and family centered care model, and in accordance
with the Registered Nurses' Association of British
Columbia (RNABC) standards of professional practice,
code of ethics, and the established mission, vision,
values, objectives and policies of Vancouver Hospital
and Health Sciences Centre, provides nursing care
to assigned clients in a rehabilitation setting,
both by working independently and as a member of
an interdisciplinary team. Consults, confers, and
collaborates with other health care givers. Demonstrates
expertise and leadership in nursing practice. Maintains
and advances clinical competence. Participates on
designated hospital committees/teams and approved
research projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse
(CRRN) or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
Current practicing registration with the Registered
Nurses Association of British Columbia (RNABC).
Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within
a client/family centered model of care. Broad knowledge
of RNABC's standards for nursing practice. Working
knowledge of physical adaptations required to accommodate
clients with disabling injuries/disabilities. Knowledge
of other health care disciplines and their role in
the care of clients with disabling injuries/disabilities.
