Job Details: Registered Practical Nurse - The Edinburgh Retirement Residence, Ottawa, ON

Description: * The ideal candidate will possess advanced assessment skills with at least one year experience in a Retirement setting and must be currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Responsibilities

* 3 Part time positions available. Hours of work and duties are subject to change due to operational demands and occupancy.
* The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate tact, empathy and patience by establishing and maintaining harmonious relationships with residents, their families, co-workers and health professionals.
* The successful candidate will be driven by the desire to meet the needs of the residents, and responsive to any changes in status.

Qualifications

* Candidates must be CPR certified.
* Maintenance of the nursing records.
* Administration of medication.
* Dealing with resident and family concerns as needed and performing other duties as required.
* The successful individual must demonstrate the ability to work independently. Previous supervisory experience as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
