Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has several job opportunities as a Registered Dietetic Tech II in Food and Nutrition Services for all shifts. The Registered Dietetic Technician II coordinates clinical and management aspects of patient food services on one or more designated units. Responsible to meet the food and service expectations of patients and visitors by training, directing and motivating the unit food service staff. Creates an environment or culture that enables the unit and the medical center to fulfill its mission and meet or exceed its goals. Under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian, the Registered Dietetic Technician II provides direct nutrition care services to patients and performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the cultural, age, developmental and environmental safety issues of the patient population(s) served. Interacts effectively with Nursing and Hospitality Services to meet patient care goals and provide timely response to requests. Contributes to successful fiscal management of galley operation. In addition, other job responsibilities as needed and/or required. Job Requirements: High school diploma, GED
or levels of education as appropriate to obtain Certificate
as a Registered Dietetic Technician, which is required.
Associate member of the American Dietetic Association
is preferred. Applicant needs to have two or more
years of work experience in healthcare food service
or comparable work experience. In addition, must
be PC literate and have knowledge of Microsoft Window
software (Word and Excel). Full and Part-Time shifts are available. Regular; benefit and non-exempt status. Shift differential is offered.
