At present, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center has 92 private rooms with guest accommodations, with the capacity to expand to 400 beds over the next five years. Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a four story, full-service, acute-care hospital spanning 60 acres. An additional 40 acres housing a medical office building, research and lab facilities will complete the campus. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Will be responsible for assigning facility Evaluation and Management codes and enter all charges for services provided by the Emergency Room into Meditech. Must maintain Emergency Room records in an organized manner so they can be easily retrieved by Health Information Department the day following service. Emergency Room Record coding will also be required. Will be responsible for assigning appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes to ER records. Responsibilities will include audits to be performed to ensure all codes and charges are made promptly and accurately. Ability to work independently and coordinate with PFS and ER department to address any issues with documentation. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Must possess certified Coding Credentials CCS, CPC, or CCA.
