Cardiologist To Join Existing 35 Member Faculty
The
East Carolina Heart Institute and the Brody School
of Medicine, Division of Cardiology seeks a Non-Invasive
Cardiologist to join our existing 35 member faculty
at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level with
a tenure track or fixed term appointment. The ideal
candidate will maintain current clinical and teaching
services including inpatient ward teams, echocardiography
procedures, ECG procedures, TEEs, clinical epidemiology,
consults, outpatient clinics, and outreach programs.
Board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular
Disease is required. Our program will lead in the development
of the East Carolina Heart Institute (
www.eastcarolinaheartinstitute.com),
a partnership between the Brody School of Medicine
and University Health Systems. We anticipate the opening
of a 150 bed heart hospital, a comprehensive cardiovascular
outpatient facility and 50,000 sq, ft of research space
in January 2009. Consequently, this is a unique opportunity
for newly-recruited faculty to develop outstanding
academic careers.
