Health Centre, St. Lawrence.
This position reports to the Manager, Long Term Care/Community Supports, Burin Peninsula, Integrated Health Services, and will participate as part of an interdisciplinary team in the coordination of quality patient/resident centred care. This position is responsible for the Long Term Care/ Protective Care Unit and Ambulatory Care programs. The incumbent will also participate in management-on-call duties. Candidates will have demonstrated that they possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to quality, knowledge of program evaluation, an understanding of the planning process and experience in managing financial resources. Preference will be given to candidates with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing who have experience in nursing management. Completion of the Nursing Unit Administration Program through the Canadian Health Care Association would be considered an asset. All applicants must possess current registration with the ARNNL. Equivalent combinations of experience and training may also be considered.
