Description: Radiology Equipment Technician
The Clinical Engineering Department is responsible for assuring that the patient care instrumentation used within the Medical Center is safe and effective.

This includes all aspects of acquisition, maintenance and repair of the equipment. The Clinical Engineering department works with the clinical staff to write specifications for new equipment and to evaluate possible service contracts.

The Clinical Engineering department is responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs, including component-level troubleshooting, as necessary. The staff also coordinates preventive maintenance and repairs of outside service personnel. A staff member is required to be on-call for repairs 24 hours per day.

Position Summary This position is responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of radiology equipment, repair of patient care instrumentation, and building and modification of test equipment.

Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent technical training. At least two years experience with the maintenance and repair of radiology systems. Factory training with a major manufacturer of radiology systems is preferred
