Position Profile Responsible for direction, development and implementation of physician and medical group strategy. Medical Group Development • Partner with site leadership and physician relations staff to routinely evaluate and assess campus needs • Support medical group development for expansion of existing groups and sites and new group development • Collaborate with Scripps Medical Foundation, legal and site leadership to complete group development • Identify organizational needs for medical group models and development; assess, recommend and implement new models and groups as approved • Complete/update medical staff development plans annually MD Recruitment • Lead and facilitate recruitment process for key system strategic physician recruits • Develop, implement and coordinate mechanism to retain Scripps GME program graduates within Scripps affiliate medical practices organization groups • Identify service and practice vulnerability at each campus; partner with site MD relations staff to assess situation Performance Metrics/Measurements of Success • Strategy implemented > New medical groups successfully launched > New medical groups meeting or exceeding budget • MD recruitment > Number of MDs recruited > Number of Scripps GME graduates retained • Successful negotiation of physicians and medical group agreements • Satisfaction with performance from facility/site CEs • Increases in volumes • Expansions in depth and breadth of service offerings Project Manager is accountable to the Corporate Vice President Project Management Office. Basic Qualifications Masters degree and equivalent, relevant work experience in Healthcare/ Public Health/ Business Administration or other related Administration field. 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, consulting, and/or analysis. 5 years medical group development experience required. Comprehensive understanding of project management, process redesign, and/or continuous quality improvement related methodology and tools. Experience managing large, complex, politically sensitive projects. Substantial experience leading and facilitating work teams. Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Good facilitation skills. Demonstrated experience in change management and implementation. Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analysis. Demonstrated computer proficiency with the following: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Project.
