Description: The Department of Surgery at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a Breast Surgical Oncologist for its Division of Surgical Oncology.
The Department of Surgery at Duke University seeks a fellowship-trained breast surgeon to join its full-time faculty. This recruitment represents a unique opportunity for an applicant with strong clinical skills and interest in clinical research and/or education in the area of breast diseases.

The successful candidate will join our group of ten surgical oncologists. In addition to active clinical breast practice, the applicant will have an opportunity to engage in translational clinical research within the multidisciplinary Duke Breast Program, and also develop integrated educational programs for fellows, residents, and students within the Duke Department of Surgery.

The Department of Surgery at Duke and the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center are recognized centers of excellence in patient care, research, and teaching. The Duke Breast Program continues to expand on a large clinical volume while maintaining a strong record of accomplishment in clinical and translational research. Current areas of research include genomic medicine and biomarker development, chemoprevention and early detection strategies, as well as novel therapies.
