Description: Western Baptist Hospital is a 373-bed hospital with a freestanding Imaging Center, PACS System and recently opened Heart Center. The community has a medical staff of 200+ representing almost all medical specialties
A successful, well-established 3-member Gastroenterlogy group with a senior member soon to retire is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join their robust practice.

The group works at Western Baptist Hospital in a State-of-the-Art Endo suite with an ERCP suite and anesthesia tower. The office is located in one of the Hospital's Doctor Office Building thus making it convenient to both the endo center and hospital. Call coverage will be 1:3.

The ideal candidate will be BE/BC in Gastroenterlogy and have training and experience in ERCP. This is an excellent opportunity for one to step into an existing, busy, and respected practice with an established and expanding patient base.

27 pre and post op beds ( all private rooms )
4,000 to 5,000 annual cases

Excellent Call Coverage ( 1:5 )

Paducah has a population of more than 35,000 with a service area of 350,000. It is 2 hours from Nashville and 3 hours from St. Louis.

Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, two of the largest man-made lakes in the U.S., are 20 miles away and offer outstanding recreation including excellent fishing, large boat sailing, camping, mountain biking and trail riding. Because it is a hub for healthcare and commerce, Paducah has a professional symphony orchestra, regional Mall and a University of Kentucky campus, as well as a second hospital with 300 beds.

Paducah also has an outstanding $ 44 million performing arts center on the Ohio Riverfront. Paducah is known for its beautiful neighborhoods, excellent schools and historic river city heritage. Western Baptist Hospital is part of the five-hospital Baptist Healthcare System and has a sophisticated medical community represented by most specialties including neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery.
