Description: Children's Hospital - Medical Director of Pediatric Endocrinology
Sherriff & Associates are the exclusive physician search consultants for Phoenix Children's Hospital. Phoenix Children's Hospital, the only freestanding children's hospital in Arizona, opened its new 300- bed facility in May 2002. It is a comprehensive tertiary and quaternary care center that serves as a teaching facility for residency programs in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, with 21 pediatric residents per year, as well as for Pediatric Endocrinology, with an active ACGME-accredited fellowship. Phoenix Children's is major teaching hospital for the University for Arizona medical students. For their involvement, faculty receives protected time for teaching. Research opportunities exist but are not mandatory.

We are seeking medical director and for this fast-growing department of pediatric endocrinologists. The growth of Phoenix has provided Children's with the challenge of serving a fast-increasing pediatric population in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area of pediatric diabetes and other endocrine disorders. This pediatric population is projected to grow to 1.5 million children under the age 14 in the next few years. The department is currently staffed with highly trained pediatric endocrinologists, diabetes certified nursing staff, certified diabetes educators and dieticians, and others dedicated to this specialty.
