Description: TYPE:Temporary Part-Time 50% - Job Share
LENGTH OF TIME: Indefinite (Average 37.5 hours/pay period)

POSITION SCOPE:

Works as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and participates in the planning, development, provision and evaluation of Mental Health Services for an assigned patient population. Accountable to the Mental Health Manager or designate for all clinical duties and for mental health promotion activities. For patients co-treated with psychiatrists, clinical issues are a shared responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse in the Province of Nova Scotia, Master of Nursing preferred.
• Three (3) experience in nursing.
• Two (2) years clinical experience in mental health/psychiatric nursing required.
• Ability to work independently, yet work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to carry out responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
• Ability to seek and accept clinical supervision and consultation in the management of patients.
• Supervisory, teaching &/or community experience considered an asset.
• Fluency in both English and French considered an asset.
