Education: Professional pharmacy degree and license to practice pharmacy in Colorado required. Experience: Two years hospital pharmacy practice experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to Perform Essential Functions of the Job Ensures safe, appropriate, and economical use of drugs through the application of specialized skills and knowledge in patient care. The pharmacist is responsible for the daily operations of a critical care satellite serving the neonatal intensive care unit, cardiac intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, operating room, and cardiovascular operating room. Responsible for ensuring safe and timely medication preparation meeting USP 797 standards. Serves as the pharmacy liaison for operating room, cardiovascular operating room and post anesthesia care unit. Involved in professional education of pharmacy staff, other healthcare professionals, students, patients, and the public as requested.
