Job Details: Project Manager I

Description: Geisinger Center for Health Research (located on the campus of Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA) offers unparalleled opportunities, resources for health services, epidemiologic, and genetics research focused on making a difference in patient care.
Responsible for management of population based and clinical research projects including implementation protocol development, project planning, team management, project tracking, and data collection and assisting in the creation of final reports and publications. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with the development and management of new projects.

Demonstrated proficiency in the managing projects and project staff. Demonstrated ability to influence senior colleagues to meet demanding project timelines. Demonstrated experience with software (word-processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet required; some experience with SAS preferred). Demonstrated project management skills, but not necessarily applied to research. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and be accountable for multiple tasks. Demonstrated competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills (interpersonal communication and technological effectiveness competencies). Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with multidisciplinary teams.

Bachelor's degree in a science-related field with medical or clinical research focus with 3-5 years of experience required. Master's degree in Public Health or related field with one to three years experience preferred.
