Description: Program Manager - Mental Health & Addiction - Inpatient Mental Health - Comp. #07-08-2439-18
Recruitment is underway for a Full-Time Program Manager of Inpatient Mental Health Services (serving one of our two units at Royal University Hospital and Saskatoon City Hospital).

Position Summary: Reporting to the Acute Care Manager of Mental Health Services, the Program Manager will be primarily responsible to oversee the provision of acute care services including all aspects of administration and management of the inpatient mental health unit of one of our acute care units. The Program Manager works collaboratively with the Manager of Acute Care, the unit members of the Health Care Team, other staff and managers within Mental Health and Addiction Services and with other units and services throughout the hospital and across the Region.

This position will play a pivotal role in the current planning for our new acute care facility.

Critical Competencies::
- A Health Profession Degree - experience in a unionized environment - a minimum of five (5) years experience in mental health and/or addictions, including acute care or another 24/7 operation, three (3) of which have been at a leadership level.

Management Competencies for this position include a demonstrated ability to:
- lead change and innovation - work collaboratively with all members of the care team - manage within an environment of restricted resources - develop and manage effective communication and information systems - plan, prioritize and oversee numerous concurrent projects effectively - ensure establishment of appropriate standards, policies and practices - develop employees - function effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment - ensure effective use of resources.
