A permanent opportunity exists to work as part of the Restorative and Continuing Care team. With reporting responsibility to the Director, Program Development & Performance Support, Restorative and Continuing Care, the Behaviour Management Consultant (Regina) is responsible for providing consultation services to affiliated special care homes and to service providers to ensure the effective and efficient utilization of Regional resources for clients identified as ''difficult to serve''. The incumbent also evaluates programs that are available for these clients (e.g.: clients with dementia, acquired brain injury and psychiatric illness) in order to identify gaps in service and participates in planning/developing services and programs to meet current and future needs.

The successful candidate will possess a graduate degree in a related health care discipline preferably at a Masters level (e.g.: nursing, social work, psychology, occupational therapy). The incumbent must have a minimum of five years of related experience in the field of geriatrics and direct clinical experience and demonstrated expertise in mental health programs for difficult to serve clients.
