Description: The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region offers opportunities for medical professionals to be part of a dynamic health team providing superior patient care. The health region serves a population base of 450,000 in southern Saskatchewan.
Our region includes many rural communities surrounding the provincial capital city. Services across the region include acute care and long-term care facilities as well as highly integrated community programs.

The practice is situated in Indian Head Saskatchewan. Indian Head is a town of approximately 1,800 people which also services a broader farming area. The Indian Head Hospital is a 15 bed facility that offers acute, emergency and outpatient/ambulatory care services. The hospital offers 24-hour a day emergency care to patients which includes assessment, treatment, stabilization and referral. If more extensive emergency treatment is required, rapid transport to a specialized facility will be arranged. Radiology and laboratory services are also provided within the Indian Head Hospital. Also located in Indian Head is the Golden Prairie Home which is a 38 bed long term care facility which also offers an adult day support program. Indian Head is situated 69 km from Regina which is a city of approximately 200,000.

This opportunity is currently a full-time, contract position in a very busy group practice setting. It is situated in a well equipped office with 2 examining rooms, an office and a reception area. A computer system equipped with physician billing software is available on-site. The Indian Head physician group also services a satellite clinic located in Montmartre, Saskatchewan which is a community approximately 45 minutes from Indian Head.

This position will work collaborativey, in conjunction with and share call with, the other physician in the community and with a Nurse Practitioner.
