Description:
Provides clinical leadership to all professional
medical disciplines who provide rehabilitation services
for Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation
Location
of Vacancy: Roosevelt Warm Springs - Medical Unit
Duties
& Responsibilities: Under the broad supervision
of the Executive Director, provides clinical leadership
to all professional medical disciplines who provide
rehabilitation services for Roosevelt Warm Springs
Institute for Rehabilitation (RWSIR), such as physicians,
psychologists, nurses, therapists (PT, OT, SLP, etc.),
from a rehabilitation perspective; maintains standards
for medical services throughout the facility; provides
administrative leadership for all medical rehabilitation
services and specifically, provides day-to-day administrative
management for all medical rehabilitation services
and functions, including inpatient hospitalization
(Inpatient Rehabilitation and Long Term Acute Care
Hospitals) and outpatient clinics; develops referral
relationships with hospitals, physician groups, case
managers, etc. to strengthen the position of RWSIR's
medical rehabilitation services throughout the state
of Georgia.
Minimum Qualifications: Current
licensure to practice medicine in the state of Georgia;
Board Certification in a medical specialty appropriate
to the area of assignment; three years experience in
the practice of medicine; experience in facility and/or
outpatient committees, JCAHO accreditation preparation
and surveys, and performance improvement activities.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Specialty in Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation; Board Certification in PMR Specialty;
at least 3 years experience in an administrative role,
such as Clinical Director, Medical Director, or Physician
Executive; experience in both inpatient and outpatient
rehabilitation; experience with rehabilitation Medicare
requirements; experience with hospital licensing and
regulatory requirements; experience in marketing of
clinical practices and/or services.
