GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - As head of marketing, this position is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all Marketing activities. This encompasses, among other things, branding, advertising, internal & external communications, message consistency across audiences and materials, community relations and ROI measurement to facilitate the successful launch and start-up of the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children @ P/SL and affiliated facilities. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Creating and implementing a Marketing strategy to launch the new RMHC, using best demonstrated practices at HCA and other Children's Hospitals • Managing the administration of the marketing function to both enlarge and increase the use of RMHC services provided at P/SL and other HealthONE or affiliated locations (pre-launch and post-launch periods) • Developing physician communication strategies, in concert with Physician Relations Managers, that are appropriate to targeted audiences: office staff, mid-level providers and specialty practices • Implementing employee communication strategies to build and maintain employee buy-in, service standards, and "ambassadors" for RMHC • Aligning marketing and communications strategies with nursing and other clinical initiatives and recruitment efforts • Overseeing a dedicated, proactive RMHC and pediatric PR/media plan • Selecting and managing appropriate agencies - for high-end design and advertising, PR, and other resource needs • Implementing strategic community relations programs that support launch and growth of RMHC and pediatric services, incorporating appropriate outside organizations, groups and individuals • Evaluating changing demographics and trends in clinical usage, community needs, etc., and implement ongoing research and measurement of programs to gauge effectiveness of current programs and need for new programs • Overseeing all RMHC online initiatives to ensure branding consistency • Creating, managing and leveraging marketing budget for cost-effectiveness and maximum return • Adhering to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement". KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES - • Knowledge of strategic planning/development and Marketing principles • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory environment and applicable laws • Experience employing healthcare promotion principles and theories • Skill in organization • Skill in supervising others • Experience in conducting and evaluating marketing research and statistical computations to implement marketing strategies • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing • Ability to create and manage a departmental budget • Ability to juggle several projects at once • Ability to work well with others EDUCATION - Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field is the minimum requirement, however, a Masters Degree is preferred. EXPERIENCE - At least 10 years of marketing experience required; at least four years in a healthcare environment. Experience with pediatric facilities/service lines a plus.
