There is 1 other employed surgeon and the 3 get along very well and are supportive of the recruitment efforts. You have options as to the types of cases you elect to perform. You can choose to do general only or you can incorporate vascular and/or thoracic into your practice. The community's thoracic surgeon retired. Your call will be 1:4. This area of Maryland is just over 1 hour from Washington DC. Obviously, the cost of living is better in this area and the community is large enough to offer you the amenities of a small city.
