Position Description
To provide leadership and accountability in the daily operations of the Emergency Department. This includes developing and maintaining physician relations, empowering clinical care givers through solicitation of input, and implementation of actions to improve delivery of patient care. The director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the provision of services in the Emergency Department. Participates in and/or supervises the delivery of patient care, as necessary, and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service. The director assures achievement of department goals and takes an active role in achievement of hospital goals as they relate to the operations of the Emergency Department. Additionally, assures adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.

Current Colorado Nursing License; Masters degree in a health related field or clinical discipline preferred. (Must obtain Master's Degree within 3 years of hire date.) 5 years of clinical experience in a acute care environment.

Located in Westminster, the full-service, acute-care community hospital is licensed for 196 beds and provides some 68,000 outpatient visits annually. It offers 24-hour emergency care and holds a Level IV trauma designation.
