The following opportunity exists in our South San Francisco, CA, headquarters: (Associate) Medical Director Responsibilities: The responsibilities will include but are not limited to supporting the Rituxan (and other up-coming immunology molecules) post-marketing activities: • Design and execute Phase IV studies and registries • Contribute to the development of the post-marketing plan and execution • Provide input to Life cycle management and Brand Plan • Support the Publication Sub-team on the publication strategy and plan, and provide ideas, messages, available data, analyses, etc., for potential publications • Educational activities (healthcare professionals and patients' information support) • Work closely with the MSL organization on coordinating clinical support activities to the internal and external key stake holders Commercial Support: • Lead interactions with scientific and clinical experts, professional societies • Input/review all promotional and payer materials (including physician directive materials, patient directed and website related content) • Support the Speaker Bureau • Support advisory boards and scientific meetings • Support sales training and education for the sales and marketing organization • Support managed care and patient advocacy groups Requirements: • MD or equivalent • Minimum of one year of industry experience • Strong background in clinical trials • Strong academic/teaching background is desired • Patient care experience • Prior biotech/pharma experience or history of participation in clinical trials • Clinical trial experience as PI • Desire to enhance expertise in drug development • Ability to work effectively in teams Genentech is dedicated to fostering an environment that is inclusive and encourages diversity of thought, style, skills and perspective.
