We have a desirable climate with a spectacular view of the Rockies, and easy access to a wide variety of outdoor activities. Responsibilities: The Infection Control Manager is responsible for the effective direction, management and operation of the medical center's infection control program, including education of hospital personnel, consultation with BH system, CDC, county and state health departments. This encompasses compliance with JCAHO standards and OSHA regulations, outbreak investigations, and overall direction of the infection control program. Qualifications: Requires a current RN license (BSN preferred). Also requires certification in Infection Control (CBIC). Requires a skill level typically acquired with five years experience in Infection Control. Must demonstrate leadership qualities and a minimum of two years of management experience is desired. Must have the ability to prepare reports and statistical data analysis for the Infection Control Committee, Chief of Staff, Medical Committees, Medical Center Administration and others. Must also have the ability to supervise staff, manage projects, and perform all other required functions. Prefer department management experience; prior budget experience & experience forecasting budgetary and staffing needs. Prefer ability to establish, implement and administer department goals, objectives, policies, procedures and guidelines to identify infection control discrepancies and implement revisions as necessary. Prefer knowledge of procedures for the department and hospitals that ensure compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, CDC and other county, state and federal regulatory agencies.
