Description: An Electrophysiologist is needed to join a single-specialty cardiology group currently with three interventional cardiologists. They also have one Nurse Practitioner and one Physician Assistant.
An Electrophysiologist is needed to join a single-specialty cardiology group currently with three interventional cardiologists. They also have one Nurse Practitioner and one Physician Assistant.

Established five years ago, this expanding practice is also recruiting an additional cardiologist with a different skill set.

Initially, the incoming Electrophysiologist will need to do a mixture of approximately 50% EP and 50% general, non-EP cardiology. The potential of doing an increased volume of EP procedures over time will be discussed with the practice.

This practice's three interventional cardiologists, along with primary care physicians in the area, will all refer to the new Electrophysiologist.

Both the EP and general call will be 1:4.

The new Electrophysiologist will be based in one office, which is up-to-date and also offers picturesque views of this city.

She/he will admit to the adjacent state-of-the-art, full service hospital, which has an established EP lab. It will be brand new in 2009 and accessible to the clinic via a new sky bridge. This impressive hospital also has an active and successful open-heart surgery program.

This group owns a nuclear camera.

This practice is offering a generous first year base salary guarantee of $360,000-plus, a retention bonus, paid malpractice insurance and a full benefits package. There is opportunity to become a partner after the first year! The buy-in is very low (i.e., $25,000).

This practice is located in a beautiful city with about 150,000 residents and a service area approaching 400,000. It is situated within an hour (or less) to coastal beach resorts, the Cascade Mountains and also the city of Portland.

The climate is generally mild with definable seasons.

This city offers a strong public school system. There are private schools at all grade levels. Within a thirty-minute radius, there is an excellent University as well as several other colleges.

You can experience the best of both worlds! On the one hand, you will enjoy a more "suburban" lifestyle. However, because you will be living within an hour's drive from Portland, you will also have easy accessibility to and be able to enjoy the countless and varied cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities that Portland has to offer.

With approximately 550,000 residents, Portland is the largest metropolitan area in Oregon. The area's geography provides shelter from most severe weather. The climate is mild, with temperatures ranging from the mid 40s in the winter and high 70s in the summer.

There are a variety of outdoor recreation activities available, such as camping, fishing, hiking, river rafting, biking, skiing, and wind surfing. In addition, Portland has 9,400 acres of parks.

The metropolitan area offers many spectator sports. There are also running events, bicycle and car races, professional and amateur golf tournaments, horse and greyhound dog racing, and more.

Portland boasts a world-class symphony, ballet and opera, and a number of theater groups and jazz clubs. There are numerous art galleries and museums.

Portland's housing picture is bright and affords shelter in all price ranges to accommodate all lifestyles. Also available are a wide variety of condominiums in locations all around the area. The Portland metropolitan area offers a wide variety of apartments in diverse areas, designs and price range.

Because the practice is located so close to Portland, experience the best of both worlds! On one hand, enjoy a suburban lifestyle. On the other hand, you will be able to have easy accessibility to and be able to enjoy the varied and numerous cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities of such a fantastic city as Portland!

Fulfill your dream of practicing Electrophysiology and also be surrounded by the natural beauty and splendor of the Pacific Northwest!!
