Washakie Medical Center is a critical access hospital located in north central Wyoming at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains, in the city of Worland. The hospital provides a full array of inpatient and outpatient health care services including a Level III trauma Center, state-of-the-art birthing suites, and a specialty clinic providing a wide range of care by visiting physicians. We are currently looking for a Patient Access Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: The Patient Access Manager ensures the services provided meet the needs of our customers through ease of access and timely, accurate collection and provision of information. Department activities includes: pre-registration/advance check-in for scheduled events, insurance verification and authorization for scheduled and newly admitted patients, coordination of patient transitions, registration of emergent and walk-in clientele, and facilities positive patient image for a the facility. Qualifications: Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred with at least 3 years experience in the clinical and business aspects of health care delivery systems to include both inpatient and outpatient work environments. Two years supervisory experience of at least 10 employees is preferred. •Technical Skills: Computerized ADT system experience, Microsoft Word, Excel knowledge. Medical Terminology Proficiency. Ability to prioritize and delegate numerous activities. Ensure the accurate completion of all work while promoting a cooperative environment. Ability to conduct accurate written and verbal business communication. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. •Other qualifications/certificate/license: Participation in related professional organizations is highly desirable.
