Today, Odyssey is one of the largest hospice providers in the country, offering end-of-life care and support to thousands of patients and their families across the country each day. Our team of caregivers consist of registered nurses, physicians, home healthcare aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement counselors and trained volunteers. Patients typically receive our services in their own homes or in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. But we also serve patients in hospitals and, in Odyssey's own freestanding hospice facilities. General Manager Responsible for the overall operation at the local office. Employment of qualified Hospice personnel and provision of Hospice services. Delegation and coordination of Hospice personnel evaluations. Establish and maintain standards of high quality care and customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Establish implement and evaluate goals and objectives for Hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy. Maintain compliance with all legal rules and regulations. Meet growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area. Odyssey's Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications: 1. Minimum age requirement of 18 2. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent experience and knowledge required. Masters degree in business or related field preferred 3. Experience in health care sales and/or management with P&L responsibility 4. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel 5. Demonstrated history of sales and profit growth. 6. Knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of the Medicare Hospice Benefit preferred 7.Understanding of Hospice care and the services provided to patient/family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary team 8. Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices and state and local administrative licensure requirements 9. Physical exam in accordance with state law requirements 10. Valid driver's license with maintenance of good driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Odyssey requirements and is in good working order 11. Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers 12. Satisfactory criminal background check 13. Excellent observation and communication skills. 14.
