Hospital (BCCH) cares for the province's most acutely
ill or injured children and youth, provides developmental
and rehabilitation services to children and youth throughout
BC, and offers a broad range of health services. BCCH
also operates a wide number of specialized health programs,
is a leading acute care teaching facility, and conducts
research to advance health and care through the BC
Research Institute for Children's and Women's Health
and in partnership with the University of British Columbia.
The BC Children's Hospital is an agency of the Provincial
Health Services Authority (PHSA), which plans, manages
and evaluates selected specialty and province-wide
health care services across BC. Become a specialty
trained member of BCCH's newly created Nursing Resource
Team (NRT) and experience the diverse challenge of
advancing your nursing career as you gain another specialty
while contributing to our continued success in quality
pediatric patient care as a part of NRT.

Children's Hospital. The Nursing Resource Team is a
highly visible initiative made up of RNs who receive
a foundational education and specialty pediatric training.
This innovative strategy has been created to allow
our valuable nurses to explore their personal career
evolution as they deliver the highest level of pediatric
patient care. You will experience growth in your professional
development by choosing to stay within the NRT, or
take a position within several different pediatric
subspecialties such as neurology, cardiology, respiratory,
surgery, oncology, renal/metabolic, and mental health.
This is an ever-expanding program, and by joining you
will take advantage of educational and skill upgrading,
short- or long-term relief coverage, creative scheduling
options, and the ability to explore diverse career
pathways. If you are a fully licensed, experienced
RN looking for the opportunity to obtain a specialty
