As part of BC Children's pediatric services, Sunny Hill focuses on the child, their family and health care professionals in their community, providing specific knowledge in the consultation, diagnosis and treatment within pediatric rehabilitation. The SHHC is an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), which plans, manages and evaluates selected specialty and province-wide health care services across BC. If you are looking for the chance to join the exciting and growing pediatric specialty of rehabilitation to provide acute rehabilitation care to children, youth and families, then we invite you to join our nursing team in the following dynamic position: Registered Nurse - General Duty Nurse (Casual) Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children - Pediatric Acute Rehabilitation Unit In this compassionate role, you will work with children and families in British Columbia at our Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, performing a comprehensive range of rehabilitation care that will enhance their lives and well-being. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a young patient population and improve your skills in an immerging field of health care with a world-renowned organization and state-of-the-art facility. Using strong leadership and organizational skills, you will impact the health of our young patient population and their families by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating an individualized nursing care plan. Using a family-centered approach, you will work in collaboration with the child's family to assess needs of the patient and act as a clinician, educator and consultant to provide quality patient care and health information. Through support and family teaching, you will provide a better quality of life by evaluating family response to nursing interventions and participating in discharge planning. Ideal candidates for this outstanding role will have current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) and recent pediatric experience. Excellent teaching and communication talents, in addition to current CPR certification are essential to your success in this multi-faceted and challenging position.
