Description: Salary Range: $17.16 to 19.89 per hour, as per the AUPE Collective Agreement.
Department: Patient Information Services
Hours Of Work: Days, Monday to Friday, (0745-1600 hrs) 10 X 7 3/4 hour shifts within a two week shift cycle.

Duties:

Reporting to the Director, Patient Information Services, the incumbent is responsible for providing secretarial and office support to the Director and Coordinators for Patient Information Services - UAH Site. Responsibilities include: managing Director/coordinator schedules, creates and distributes meeting agendas, attends meetings to record and distribute meeting minutes, coordinating meetings, preparing and handling confidential documentation/correspondence on behalf of the management team, assisting with the recruitment process by managing and coordinating appropriate documentation, collects, collates and completes specific monthly and ad hoc budget variance documentation, gathers and compiles activity measurement statistics for budgetary and benchmarking purposes, ordering supplies. Alternate for time sheet entry and responding to time coding inquires. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, you will possess a High School Diploma, supplemented by completion of a recognized post secondary Secretarial, Office Administration or other related program. Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm demonstrated through a skills test Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. This position is the primary 'go to' contact for information on general department operation. The incumbent must represent the department and Capital Health in a professional ,competent manner. Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiating skills, particularly related to dealing with difficult staff/situations. You have the ability to work independently and to organize and prioritze tasks. You are an approachable, flexible, tactful, and reliable team member contributing to a positive work environment. Must be able to recognize and maintain confidential information.
