Description:
Capital Health is seeking an accomplished
professional to join the Occupational Health, Safety
and Wellness (OHSW) Department who will perform multi-tasked
functions related to health and safety within the organization.
Reporting
to the Senior Manager of OHSW, this position is responsible
for: assessing needs, providing input into the development
of programs, the implementation of strategies to support
the organization in achieving its workplace health
and safety goals and provides general hygiene and safety
services.
The successful candidate will have
a Certificate or Diploma in an OH&S related field
and a minimum of two years dedicated health and safety
related experience required. Proficient knowledge of
personal computers and Microsoft software applications,
specifically Word, Excel and Access. Auditing experience
in the Partnership in Injury Reduction (PIR) program
is preferred. Experience in industrial safety and previous
experience with delivery of education/training to adult
learners would be an asset. Canadian Registered Safety
Professional (CRSP) designation is also an asset upon
hire.
