Salary: $27.93 - $36.67 hourly as per UNA

36 x 7.75 hour shifts in a 12 week shift cycle (D/E/Wkds
- current shift cycle provided for information only)
Duties:
This
position provides an opportunity for the registered
nurse to utilize the nursing process to care for both
medical and surgical patients through assessment, planning,
implementing and evaluation. Care is provided in a
multidisciplinary environment. Duties are assigned
on a rotating basis on either a 17 bed acute care medical
unit and a 13 bed surgical unit which encompasses general
surgery, orthopedics, urology and special care unit.
Qualifications:
Must
have graduated from an accredited registered nursing
program. Active registration with the CARNA required.
Valid CPR certification required. ACLS an asset. ECG
rhythm analysis an asset. Certification in IV initiation
and IV push medication administration an asset. Must
possess strong assessment, organizational, problem
solving, communication and interpersonal skills. Recent
experience in medical and surgical areas an asset.
