Overview:
Pay range: $11.73-$18.74

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for billing and collecting monies from self-pay patients and patients with account balances after third party payment. The position strives to achieve payment in full for all services. Performs collection techniques and sets up payment plans for patients. Complies with Fiar Debt Collection Practices Act and Fair Debt Credit Reporting Act.

Qualifications:
Requires the knowledge and abilities normally evidenced by a high school degree or equivalent.

Requires two or more years of business office work experience.

Excellent organization, customer services and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and human relation skills are required. Must have basic knowledge of Patient Accounting Terminology, general insurance laws and guidelines, insurance coverage types, be able to effectively use all common office software applications, spreadsheets, databases and word processing. Requires verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with the publish.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our Performance Standards each day.
