Job Details: RN - Patient Care Programs - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit/Pediatrics

Description: Under the direction of the Manager or delegate, the R.N. assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care utilizing concepts of family centred patient care in a variety of clinical settings.

Care will be provided for patient populations including newborns in the immediate postpartum period; at risk, unstable or critical neonates (Level II & III) and pediatric patients.

Basic Qualifications:
- Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Knowledge and competence in CPR.
- Advanced Neonatal Life Support and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification(s) an asset.
- One year experience in one of the related clinical realms required. (Neonatal/Pediatric).
- Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with an interdisciplinary team is an asset.
- Successful completion of neonatal/perinatal post-graduate course within the last five years preferred.
- Proven ability to attend work regularly.
- Satisfactory criminal reference check required

Physical Requirements:
The applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of this position.

Hours Of Work:
Rotating 11.25 hour shifts, with assignment within the NICU and Pediatric patient care units.
