Nurse Practitioner Positions available at
The James Cancer Hospital in Thoracic Surgery, Head/Neck,
Immediate Care Center (Sickle Cell Patients), Hemophilia,
and Medical/Surgical
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible
for providing health care services to adult patients
within the parameters of a standard care agreement
with an attending physician member of James Cancer
Hospital and Solove Research Institute and has no personnel
supervisory responsibility.
Health care services
provided include care during acute and chronic phases
of illness, education and counseling of individuals
and families, health promotion and prevention and referral
to other health care providers and community resources
when appropriate.
Assists in the development
of patient education materials, participates in quality
improvement activities, contributes to clinical research
activities and facilitates staff professional development
by serving as a preceptor and presenting staff education.
Represent the cancer program through attendance
at professional meetings and presentation of continuing
education offerings.
