Job Details: Clinical Lab Scientist II/III: Path/Lab

Description: BS degree required. A valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited license in Immunohematology required.
Summary of Essential Job Duties:

Performs all standard blood bank testing ABO, Rh, Ab Screen, antibody identification, cord blood work-ups, crossmatch etc. Familiar with Gel technology both manual and automated. Must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment and be able to multitask. Attention to detail is a requirement as well as the ability to work in a cGMP laboratory. Opportunity to problem solve and learn new technologies and software programs.

Education Requirements/Experience:
Prefer MT(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) or equivalent. Minimum of two years full time experience in a transfusion service in a large tertiary care hospital. Have knowledge of cGMP's governing Registered and Licensed Blood Establishments. Must be able to accurately perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while maintaining good customer relations.
