Our Radiation Medicine department is currently
seeking candidates to join our growing team.
The Chief Administrative Officer reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Radiation Medicine (DRM). Functioning as the chief administrative officer (CAO) assuring the smooth and effective operations of the DRM toward achieving its academic missions and goals of clinical service, research and education. Within the mission of clinical service, the CAO works with the section chief of clinical operation and is responsible for managing the operational, billing and budgetary activities for the DRM on both the professional (OSUP physician practice plan) and technical (hospital) sides. Further, the CAO is responsible for working with hospital leadership to assure the clinical facilities are in compliance with all regulatory requirements of the hospital and other governing bodies, including JCAHO. Similarly, the CAO assures all professional and technical fee billing is done in compliance with appropriate internal and external agencies. In the academic, research and clinical/hospital environment, the CAO is responsible for coordinating faculty recruitment and promotion/tenure efforts and also oversees the hiring/evaluation of all DRM staff. Further, the CAO oversees day-to-day departmental administrative operations in the areas of human resources, accounting and fiscal affairs, compliance, space, research, safety compliance and compliance with accreditation standards related to the American College of Radiology and other agencies that survey quality-based ambulatory care programs. Finally, the CAO will be responsible for the development and implementation of standard policies and procedures for DRM faculty and staff. The CAO will advise Chair on the short and long-term strategic decisions for the DRM based on operational knowledge, the collection and review data and understanding of DRM and OSUMC goals. Finally, the CAO will be expected to efficiently, effectively and professionally communicate, both orally and in writing, with senior administration within OSU, OSUMC, OSUP and the OSUCCC as well as with all DRM faculty and staff.
