Description: Consultation Liaison Service
The Miriam Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist for our Psychiatry Department - Consultation Liaison Service. The incumbent would be responsible for providing consultation/liaison services to hospital inpatients, evaluating need for and providing psychotherapy for individual, group or family and performing psychiatric evaluations. Also develops treatment plans for patients, including medication evaluations. Plans, develops and implements in-service education for nursing personnel as well as interns and residents.
MSN required. Current licensed Registered Nurse in Rhode Island required. Certification as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability and willingness to supervise residents, medical students and psychology interns. Minimum of 3 years psychiatric experience in treating an adult population.
