Nevin Gorki, Physician Assistant Are you looking for an opportunity to practice world-class medicine, partnering with a team of patient focus colleagues? If you are a detail-oriented Physician Assistant, able to function in team environment and dedicated to premiere patient care, we are interested in you. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a difference working with the GMC Rehab populations. In partnership, this Physician Assistant, under physician responsibility and supervision, Performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physicians to extend their knowledge in the sphere of decision-making required to establish a diagnosis and to plan the appropriate therapy. Assists in gathering the data necessary to implement the therapeutic plan of the physician. Provides continuity care and advocacy for patients, Serves as liaison between physicians and patients. Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Performs and records H&P's, Clearly discriminates between normal and abnormal findings when evaluating historical, physical examination and laboratory data. Executes and relays medical regimens as directed by the physician. Makes rounds, following up as appropriate Completion of medical records and documentation in a timely manner, In concert with physician, develop treatment modalities. This position requires the completion of a CAAHEP or ARC-PA-approved program for physician assistants, NCCPA certification or eligibility through Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine licensure. Master's degree counseling, social work, nursing, psychology or other related discipline is preferred. Experience with eating disorders a plus. Our successful candidate will have a strong desire to work with rehab patients and their families. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent people skills, demonstrated concern for the health and well-being of others, superior written and oral communication skills, computer literacy including electronic medical record documentation and the ability to work both as a team member and independently.
