Swedish Medical Center is seeking an entry level physicist. Provides technical leadership in the Radiation Therapy Department. Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of Radiation Therapy (but not limited to), treatment planning, patient dosimety, and governmental regulatory issues. Acts as a resource to Physicians, System Director of Radiation Therapy, Dosimetrist, and Therapists on technical matters related to Radiation Oncology.


Qualifications
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Board certified in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or Radiation Oncology Physics by the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP).
B. Education:
MS or PhD from an accredited graduate program in Medical Physics or closely related field.
C. Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience after graduation as a clinical Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology.
At lease 1 year experience in 3D radiation therapy treatment planning.
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have excellent two-way written and oral communication skills in order to communicate clearly with patients, dosimetrist, radiation therapists, technical personnel in other departments, nursing personnel, physicists, physicians and management.
