Description

Coordinates all Front Office functions and program support for the EMS Department. Supervises Front Office support/secretarial staff (Secretary IV). Performs administrative functions for the Director of EMS & Trauma, Medical Director and staff. Acts as liaison between Medical Director, staff, EMS field agencies, students, and public. Additional Front Office responsibilities include course registration and processing, student counseling, processing all financial transactions, management of organizational and instructional contracts, equipment ordering, monitoring and repair, customer relations/service, and database management. Also functions as liaison with Arapahoe Community College regarding registration and enrollment process issues. Utilizes Department Policy & Standards manual, Quality Improvement manual, Course Planning Guide, and specific course manuals to plan, implement, and evaluate Department programs.


Qualifications
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
None
B. Education:
High School diploma or GED.
C. Experience:
Minimum of 5 years as secretary. Supervisory experience required. Previous healthcare experience preferred.
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable in WordPerfect, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Access and medical terminology. Must be able to relate to the public in a courteous and concise manner. Must be knowledgeable in counseling and disciplining of employees.
